The second KINO DER KUNST festival will take place from April 22 - 26, 2015 in Munich under the theme 'Science & Fiction'. It explores the latest techniques of narration in films by visual artists, thereby demonstrating how technological inventions and concepts of contemporary art dominate the commercial media industry, from cinema to internet and games. The program includes an exhibition of groundbreaking cinematic artworks from the last three decades, installations, panel discussions, a pitch for young artists and a well-endowed International Competition with current artists' films from around the world.

KINO DER KUNST - Interlude 2014

In preparation for the next festival and in cooperation with the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, KINO DER KUNST will present a series of talks with well known artists who work with moving images, starting in June 2014. The renowned Finnish artist Salla Tykkä launches the series on June 10, and is followed on June 11 by the German Clemens von Wedemeyer. Both events take place in the new building of the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich at 7 pm.
