Dear gallery visitor,

today we are introducing an other gallery and its program during the festival KINO DER KUNST. As part of our gallery program Barbara Gross Galerie diplays the enhanced version of Tejal Shah's dOCUMENTA (13) work "Between the Waves".

In the presence of the artist Tejal Shahon the exhibition will be opened at 6pm on April 25th 2013 ; the artist will introduce her work to the visitors!

Working across diverse media such as video, photography and drawing, Tejal Shah positions her work within feminist and queer politics. She is currently interested in the intersections of art, ecology and spiritual consciousness. Her works also focuses on topics of body, gender and natureculture while challenging normative social hegemonies. We are delighted to present the expanded version of Tejal Shah's work produced for dOCUMENTA (13). In addition to the film, the show will include new mixed media collages, photographs and drawings. The project is no vast sanctuary of shimmering waters and its ensuing crests and troughs, as the title suggests, but intimates a quake. The quietness of the title belies the velocity of the "Love waves" that ripple across the surface of the landscapes contained by this work. In the torn up nature humanimal unicorn characters engage in bizarre rituals.

Tejal Shah, *1979 in Bhilai, Indien; lives and works in Goa, India.
